Questions

FAQS

Common questions about our programs, scheduling, and philosophy. Don't see yours? Call or email us.

What age groups do you work with?

We train players from ages 4 through adult. Our Foundations program serves ages 4–10 in Concord, NC. Small Group training is for ages 10+ in Charlotte, NC. Individual and virtual training are available for all ages.

How do I get started?

Start with an intro offer — every Hoops College service has a low-commitment way in. Pick the one that fits and book online. If you're unsure where to start, head to Start Here and we'll point you in the right direction.

Do you offer individual / one-on-one training?

Yes. Individual training is available for players who want targeted, focused development on specific skills, or who have a specific timeline (tryouts, recruiting visits, etc.). Try a 30- or 60-minute intro session to see if it's a fit.

How often should my child train?

That depends on their goals and current level. Serious players looking to compete at the high school or college level should aim for multiple sessions per week — typically a mix of small group, strength & conditioning, and shooting reps. We'll give you a recommendation based on what we see at the assessment.

Do you help with college recruiting?

Yes. Recruiting guidance is one of our core services. We help players understand the recruiting process, build their profile, and make contact with programs that are the right fit. See where our alumni have gone.

What is the scheduling process?

Most sessions can be booked directly through our intro offers and packages pages — payment is processed through MindBody. For ongoing training schedules or anything custom, reach out via the contact page.

Are you affiliated with a league or travel program?

Hoops College operates independently. We are a training organization first. We also run a 3 on 3 league. Our focus is development — not managing a travel team schedule.

Do you offer virtual coaching?

Yes. Virtual coaching is available for players who can't train in person, whether they're out of state or overseas. We've worked with players in Europe, Australia, and across the US remotely.

What if I'm not local to Charlotte or Concord?

Virtual coaching is available for remote players. We've worked with athletes internationally. Reach out via the contact page and we'll put together a plan that works for your situation.

Do you have a guarantee?

Yes. We stand behind our training. If you do the work — show up consistently, follow the plan, give full effort — and don't see results, we'll make it right. Read more on our Guarantee page.
